NORTHEAST REUNION 1.15.12

Everybody looks forward to reuniting with camp friends during the school year. We had a great turnout as 150 of our northeast campers and staff gathered at Sportstime USA in Elmsford, New York for some fun and games. Our staff photographer, Adrienne was on hand capturing the smiling faces. The campers got their dose of camp spirit as the yearbooks were distributed and got everyone psyched for the upcoming 2012 summer season which is right around the corner…only 147 more days…but who’s counting?

Jordan Z. celebrated his Bar Mitzvah with his Lenox friends and had a great time! He says the highlight of his special weekend was sharing it with his camp friends!

Veteran staff member Al Craven has already committed to be a Group Leader for the summer of 2012. Presently, Al is teaching in France and took time to visit camper Mateo Louapre and his family.
The boys had a great time in Cannes seeing all the yachts and eating some great French cuisine together!

Camp Lenox is my happy place
It will always put a smile on my face
Lenox is a big family, friends I will never forget,
and you would love this camp too, I bet!
At camp I am never blue
I hate waiting 10 months for 2—
At night we’re by the lake,
at 7 in the morning we’re awake!
In the afternoon we are on the courts
or doing all different sports
Camp Lenox really changed my life, I know I’ll never forget
how I got better at b-ball, now the ball goes through the net!
I remember the Berkshire sun
and all the times I had fun
Up on the mountains so high,
I can hear the animals cry
I live 10 months for 2

We sent out a Thanksgiving Holiday Trivia Contest on our new Facebook Camp Lenox fan page (like us!). We tested the knowledge of our Lenoxites that they had on our awesome staff from summer 2011.

After camp, the Strauss family went on a vacation to California and met up with the Greenwalds on the beach in Malibu! Word on the beach is that the girls performed their song from the “2011 Girls Sing” for their parents and eager onlookers! (We know that all original Lenox music attracts attention!)
Lower Girls Finally Meet Selena!

And this is how they did…Gabi had made t-shirts for herself, Lauren D., and Katz, and they were so happy and excited to be meeting and greeting Selena while also sitting in the front row(via Gabi’s Mom’s insistence) at her concert in CT. Well, toward the end of the show, Selena’s step father and one security guard approached Gabi and gave her three ‘after show’ passes to meet Selena. Apparently, they go through the audience and give forty of the most enthusiastic fans these passes and SHOCKER; Gabi, Lauren and Lauren were the most enthusiastic and received 3 passes!!! The girls were singing and dancing and didn’t sit down once throughout the concert. Way to represent, LSG’s!
